React elements not showing up in Rails app?

  A clone of the real estate website Zillow, Dwel is an online platform that allows users to find their next home.

  That's where I looked first. I included the react-rails + webpacker gems into the gemfile and added the pack_tag to my application layout. This is the repo I'm using/modified

  I've been playing with a repo I found online that's basically a clone of the zillow app, but when I deploy it to heroku none of the react components seem to appear. I'm proficient with rails, but pretty inexperienced when it comes to react. Any thoughts on why this might be happening?
