A last more straight forward question is if anyone here has had much success with using mold as their linker and if it's viable for many packages.
One example that I can think of is that Kakoune uses -O3 in it's Makefile and even the ebuild, and with the little fidgeting I've done it doesn't seem like -O3 actually does make anything faster (though I could be wrong). How does one go about overwriting this to use -O2 instead?
