    I've used Docker to run a simple HomeAssistant instance and control my aircon unit via an IR remote, works from anywhere in the house on the same WiFi, but the Docker version of HomeAssistant seems to be quite limited in what it can do. Other stuff is like your own self-hosted password manager like Bitwarden, website hosting or even a personal Cloud server running on an SD card, although speeds wouldn't be great on that.
