    The same argument extends to asdf (for a moment I thought you were talking about Common Lisp package manager), but, I'm guessing you mean this: https://github.com/asdf-vm/asdf -- unnecessary bloatware. Learn how to manage your environment. It's not hard, and will make you a better programmer. If you rely on tools you don't understand, you produce bad programs which reflect your lack of understanding.
