Not as far down the conspiracy rabbithole as you might think. There's a ton of data that can be gleaned through AI about people through a collection of innocuous things. Can your phone hear what news channel you listen to? Can your videos show what products you like in the background? By how long you watch each video, can they learn if you like dogs or cats? If you're straight or gay? Left or right? Can an algorithm accidentally learn that you're pregnant because you switched to unscented soaps? How many Facebook accounts are AI generated faces, commenting on the very posts you're looking at? Using the database of what you like to comment aligning to your interests, to push you towards theirs? Sure, it's insane to think there's a person assigned to you, learning you and trying to manipulate your opinion, but if one ten-millionth of a single rack of a single server in a warehouse could be used to the same effect, is it so wild to imagine the people you're talking to and the news sources you read aren't people at all?

Hence why I said browse. If you want to post, just use reddit through a hardened browser (i think old.reddit.com works without JS). I recently heard of Troddit. Its a web/PWA front-end that allows signing in, but IDK if it is any good privacy-wise.
