    Not a perfect solution, but if you have a Plex Pass one option is to use Tautulli, and kill_stream script (instructions on using custom scripts with Tautulli are here). For that you would enable transcoding on the server, but the kill_stream script would immediately detect that the stream is transcoding and end it with a custom message.
