I did a quick google search and found that someone with a similar issue: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/WidescreenFixesPack/issues/724 had a workaround by skipping the intro: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_Underground#Skip_intro_videos. While this might not be ideal, it might work in your situation.
