DOL-001 GCs have a digital out port, and direct-to-HDMI converters called the Carby, Prism, and GCHD-Mk2. I think they're all based on the GCVideo project. DOL-101 systems don't have that port, and I think they're basically in almost the same boat as the N64 (composite and s-video (NTSC) or RGB (PAL)).
