Don't skip any steps and don't refer to video guides (as they aren't updated as quickly, or at all, compared to the written guide). It's a fairly simple process and all you need is at least a 4 GB SD/microSD card (which most of the "New" consoles come with by default anyway) and a computer with a card reader.
