I’d recommend Wireguard to connect everything with an overlay network instead of exposing services directly on the Internet. It minimizes the attack surface significantly, so if you one of your services has an exploit, they’d first have to get on your Wireguard network to attack. That’d be very difficult for all but the most targeted attacks.
Checkout Pass for a password manager. It uses Git as a backend so I think I checks the boxes of distributed and robust.
