Do any of you ever google a question and add “reddit” after the question because surprisingly reddit will get you straight to the answer rather than having to go through an annoying spammy website?

    SearXNG instances list

  • This is one of the things I love about searx instances, I no longer feel the need to add "Reddit" to queries. It just gives me more relevant results somehow and reddit threads are usually on the first page already when I'm looking for it. Searx is an open source meta search engine. Go to searx.space to find instances of it. They all index a bit differently but it's configurable and they usually include reddit. I like the paulgo one because it actually returns the answer to math equations and unit conversions in search suggestions. No more "learn how to do [exactly the fucking unit conversion I searched for just give me the fucking answer] online!". But there's another one that indexes urban dictionary for all the weird acronyms you find online.
