  • I wouldn't put it this way. To me it looks like an alternative to MDX -- without the JSX syntax. It's definitely more inspired by Jinja2/Nunjucks syntax-whise. Having worked on documentation sites similar in scale as compared to the Stripe docs I can definitely see a benefit of using that over MDX. Especially if Markdoc doesn't have as many strange behaviors as MDX.
