  • spark

A performance profiler for Minecraft clients, servers, and proxies. (by lucko)

My main computer runs an Ubuntu 20.04 (Linux kernel 5.13) based distro, and I recently updated my Java installation from 17.0.2 to 17.0.3. Immediately my average mspt jumped from ~20ms to ~48 with a large number of pretty massive lag spikes. And weirdly, it's sitting at just about 50 even in areas where there's historically been very little lag, like a simple pathway in the nether. This is on Minecraft Java (obviously) 1.18.2, with Fabric, Sodium, Iris. After futzing with a bunch of JVM settings, I installed spark, which laid the blame on extremely frequent garbage collecting (type = "Young Gen") even though my XmX is set crazy high.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
