first there is tailscale.com which allows a virtual mesh setup. But it requires software on your work PC and I don't know if it will install without admin privileges. Try it as it is a really simple solution.

How about trying out https://github.com/fatedier/frp ? I used it to SSH to my home server. The downside of it is that you might need to pay for a VPS that has the public IP.
