  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale

  • powerbi-dumbbellChart

This repository is an accompaniment to the Introduction to Developing Power BI Visuals course, available from RADACAD.

  • Because visuals are so open-ended and usually created due to something being 'missing' from Power BI, it's hard to find any good structured learning that might cover your use case exactly. I believe there are a couple of courses on LinkedIn Learning that work through some simple visuals, and I did a course for RADACAD that tries to cover everything off through developing a simple dumbbell chart. By way of disclaimer, this particular course is not free, but RADACAD did permit me to open-source the visual produced in the course, which you can find here.

  • deneb

Deneb is a custom visual for Microsoft Power BI, which allows developers to use the declarative JSON syntax of the Vega or Vega-Lite languages to create their own data visualizations.

  • If your case is straightforward, there are visuals such as Charticulator or Deneb, which allow you to build visuals inside Power BI without having to learn web development and the visuals SDK. As both these visuals are certified, they provide the environment for your designs to run inside, and therefore you can get the benefits of a certified visual without having to publish to AppSource.

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.
