I've got my hands on a Samsung SM-T290 that I want to use as an always-on control panel for my Home Assistant install using Fully Kiosk. I want to use something to limit/disable battery charging since it will be plugged in all the time. Something like Advanced Charging Controller, and it seems that they all require the device to be rooted which makes sense. We used these as delivery app tablets in my coffee shop and the batteries always blew up after a while. Being that I'm using this in my house and that this battery has already seen thousands of hours on a charger, I want to disable charging completely if possible.
