I want to modify an existing theme using "yo code"

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/vscode

Our great sponsors
  • SurveyJS - Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • bearded-theme

The VS Code theme with a long beard.

Forking the theme would be the other approach which would be necessary if you want to publish your variant as its own extension on the marketplace (which would allow you to add more themes to the pack for example). As for modifying this specific theme, it seems to live in this file, but I haven't gone through the build workflow - it might be overridden from somewhere else - so just play around with the source if you're interested. After modifying the extension, you'll have to consult this page which explains the process of publishing the extension (you'll probably have to change some stuff like the author and package name in package.json).

  • codeui

Customize your color theme for VS Code.

I keep having this issue with codeui as mentioned on Github discussions on the repo: https://github.com/ryanraposo/codeui/discussions/41

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.
