Have you heard about or tried mpc-qt? As the name might imply, it's inspired by Media Player Classic (specifically MPC-HC), so it probably fits in better than a player that uses custom skins

My only desires are unreasonable for a first project. A GUI for the translate toolkit tools, OmegaT in Qt instead of its ugly UI, Manuskript in C++ or QML, or even just maintaining it properly (it crashes way too much for me to write anything).

Maybe you will like QOwnNotes. It's written in Qt, updated on regular bases, plan markdown files, optional NextCloud intergration.

For just At (no KDE) there's MusE so it sort of did happen. Although it's not one of the "big name" DAWs with tons of development effort, so you may end up missing niceties that the competition provides.
