The one negative that they really identify is the window management which to me is very much a preference and habit issue, and one that is super easy to fix without the constraint of getting software approved by IT for the company. I do get it though, I remember when I first got a Mac I felt exactly the same way and have gone through a number of window managers, the latest being Yabai. Yabai and many others are available on HomeBrew, which the author mentions having access to. Honestly though, for a work machine this would bug me enough I would try and get approval for a static version of whatever their window manager of choice is. If they like the look of Amethyst or Rectangle then get IT approval for the current version and try not to update it for a while.
