Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • kubernetes

    Production-Grade Container Scheduling and Management

There's also container orchestration systems like Kubernetes that you can end up with many of the same features using containers instead of full VMs.

  • awx

AWX provides a web-based user interface, REST API, and task engine built on top of Ansible. It is one of the upstream projects for Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.

While not directly related to your question, if you're looking some something like Tower, have you looked at AWX? It's the opensource upstream source for Tower. Might have some of what you're looking for. But I think u/cowbar has a pretty complete answer of what is out there currently.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • foreman

an application that automates the lifecycle of servers (by theforeman)

Personally, i use https://theforeman.org/ to provision all my things, but if you want i can give you some pointers on the ansible side of things. i dont use it anymore since i've got foreman, but i should have the playbooks somewhere...

  • semaphore

    Modern UI for Ansible

instead of ansible tower, look at semaphore (https://ansible-semaphore.com/)
