This example from the vitest-svelte-kit package repo uses @testing-library/svelte in the same way a lot of Jest examples do: they render the component and interact with the DOM.
Vitest also includes an example of this usage. But it doesn't interact with the instance after that: no function calls, no event raises, no properties changed, nada.
