  • docker-mailserver

Production-ready fullstack but simple mail server (SMTP, IMAP, LDAP, Antispam, Antivirus, etc.) running inside a container.

Anyway, would I recommend it to others? Not necessarily. It is a lot of work initially to set up correctly without inadvertently becoming an open relay or ending up with your mail server inundated with spam. There are so many moving parts to a mail server these days to do it right that it can be literally dizzying to get it set up. For my part, my mail server is now on Docker Mailserver mostly because it took care of the basics of getting the main tools set up easily and quickly. Beyond that, I just had to then re-import all the archive mail and I was off to the races. But there are other things as well; DMARC, DKIM and so on, reputation lists and the near constant whack-a-mole of finding out you're on a blacklist and having to get yourself removed. And some of them are paid blacklists where you have to pay to remove your mail server... did you know that? I call that bullshit... or extortion... but thankfully those paid lists don't seem to be used by many providers or are only used as a score weighting mechanism... keep the rest clean and you should be OK.

A process for automating Docker container base image updates.

Here is the Watchtower wiki, it includes the docker-compose file at the very bottom.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • Mail-in-a-Box

Mail-in-a-Box helps individuals take back control of their email by defining a one-click, easy-to-deploy SMTP+everything else server: a mail server in a box.
