There was a note that Newer versions of the ELAN touchpads support another protocol called Precision Touchpad (PTP). Touchpads implementing this protocol need to use VoodooI2CHID, so I tried this as well with no success.

Finally, in the HP 250 G8 specification page, it mentions that the included WiFi card is an Intel AX201 Wi-Fi 6 which is supported by the itlwm kext as seen in this compatibility list. This was one of the reasons I chose this laptop for my Hackintosh project. However, this is not what's inside my laptop. I have a Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter with the following specs:

I have not been able to find any drivers for it. There is a driver for Linux, but I lack the know-how to convert it to a macOS kext.
