Retroactive
Retroactive only receives limited support. Run Aperture, iPhoto, and iTunes on macOS Sonoma, macOS Ventura, macOS Monterey, macOS Big Sur, and macOS Catalina. Xcode 11.7 on macOS Mojave. Final Cut Pro 7, Logic Pro 9, and iWork ’09 on macOS Mojave or macOS High Sierra.
You can still port your current iTunes structure. iTunes became the Music app since macOS Catalina. You need to hold down the “option” key while double clicking the Music app to launch it. A file dialog box will open so you can select “point” the Music app to your old iTunes folder structure which will/should be exactly like it looked in the old iTunes app. I just recently did this on macOS Monterey. If did need to fine tune my viewing preferences to mimic how I had them set under iTunes. If you will be using an Intel Mac you can still use iTunes by using the Retroactive application, https://github.com/cormiertyshawn895/Retroactive. I’ve used iTunes version 12.9.5 via Retroactive on macOS Catalina, Big Sur and now Monterey on my Mac Pro. I also sync my iPhone daily with iTunes. Unfortunately, Retroactive does not work with Apple Silicon Macs which is why I’ve been testing the conversion of my library to the new Music application. I will transition to it when my Mac Studio Ultra arrives later this week.
