🍺 The missing package manager for macOS (or Linux)
🙃 A delightful community-driven (with 2,000+ contributors) framework for managing your zsh configuration. Includes 300+ optional plugins (rails, git, macOS, hub, docker, homebrew, node, php, python, etc), 140+ themes to spice up your morning, and an auto-update tool so that makes it easy to keep up with the latest updates from the community.
I work in security with another Mac as my work machine, and I can barely imagine using macOS without Homebrew and Oh My ZSH. You can install Wine without Homebrew. CodeWeavers has a nice, packaged version they call CrossOver, which is quite good. I have an update subscription. The open-source Wine is $0, though, and most people don’t like to hear “Step 1: go spend $60 on some other software”. While Wine can be installed without it, Homebrew makes it a lot easier to install and to update.
Truly a developer’s best friend. Scout APM is great for developers who want to find and fix performance issues in their applications. With Scout, we'll take care of the bugs so you can focus on building great things 🚀.
