I am not super familiar on the intricate details, but isn't the Quake style movement very similar to what is present in Half Life (from its roots as in Quake derived GoldSrc to Source). If so, I think you might find PBCharacterMovement, its an implementation of Half Life style movement in UE for Project Borealis (a fan spiritual successor to HL2).
So the other day I stumbled upon a bit of code that emulates quake 3's strafe into unity. The problem is that it's made into... well, unity.
