I am missing proper tooling. I challenge you to create a fully working Flatpak of dino - ah wait not possible, because of a 4 year old issue not being resolved.
Packages are also checked on Flathub; see here.
You can host a flatpak repo as static files: https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/hosting-a-repository.html. Flathub uses flat-manager which adds a bunch of features (build uploads, authentication, etc.)

Or maybe create one for thinkfan-ui or keyboard-center - ah wait Flatpak does not support udev rules and packaging PyQT5 in Flatpak is a nightmare to begin with.

There is also a GUI in development, hopefully it will help casual users in the future.
You don't need to when using the Flatpak, it already comes with a custom script to launch it with those flags. It also disables update checks so the user isn't locked out from the app
Flatpak brings its own sandboxing tool called Bubblewrap which is distro agnostic (as opposed to AppArmor/SELinux which are limited to some distros), and works similarly to Firejail. Although, Bubblewrap doesn't play well with Firejail, so it's considered an alternative solution rather than an additional layer of security.
