  • developer-roadmap

Interactive roadmaps, guides and other educational content to help developers grow in their careers.

  • RESEARCH PART 2: Check out the roadmaps. As we did in the last step, look at each field. See what one needs in terms of knowledge to do back-end, front-end, devops, java, etc. This will help us tailor your educational path, but for the sake of brevity I am going to keep it to back-end. If someone in this thread has their heart set on dev-ops or front-end or android development, DM me and I'll help tailor a more custom learning plan for you (for free, education and help should be free and I'm not going to abandon my principles just because I am doing well.)

  • ruby-warrior

Game written in Ruby for learning Ruby.

  • The Odin Project - Offers two free curriculums, Full Stack Ruby on Rails and Full Stack JavaScript. Also community-based so you can talk to other people on the self-learning track. Open-source. Ruby Warrior - after you've set up your first rails project and a local rails environment, you can download this fun game and run it locally! Follow the read_me for setup instructions. RailsGirls Building a Rails App - it's not just for girls though and they're a great resource. Places to make open-source contributions: Exercism.io is open-source, Odin project is open-source, if you are dying for other open-source projects try googling for "open-source rails". Also, Canvas is open-source and a rails monolith if that sounds fun to you. GoRails Why's Poignant Guide to Ruby - I'm not actually sure how helpful I found this book but it was a really fun read and made me giggle.
