  • Sure! The core of the method is horizon search. It's the same approach that you can find in HBAO and GTAO. So, what you see here is essentially a modified GTAO method. A similar technique is described here. You can also find a reference to this link in UE5 Lumen presentation here (28:28 if timecode doesn't work), so it seems that Lumen picked up this approach for screen-space as well.
