  1. Jellyfin

The Free Software Media System - Server Backend & API

Jellyfin is an open source Plex alternative with many client apps that you can stream music and other media. It works well as a self-hosted streaming service, although some of the client apps still have issues open for offline listening, etc. But should definitely be something to look into.

  3. LibreTime

LibreTime: Radio Broadcast & Automation Platform

https://libretime.org/ seems like a helper tool for setting up icecast and other radio type services? I've only just learned about it just now so you'll want to evaluate it for yourself.

  4. action-doctl

GitHub Actions for DigitalOcean - doctl

You can rent a VPS (virtual private server) for $5-10/month and get it running there. I'm using Digital Ocean (https://www.digitalocean.com/), and I pay an extra $10 for a 100GB disk and $4 for backups. Depending on your home internet you can run it locally instead, though you might to pay to get an IP address that is accessible externally, since providers usually block incoming connections. Something like https://hoppy.network/ would work. But the VPS option is probably cheaper and you don't have to worry about disruptions.
