  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • KeeWeb

Free cross-platform password manager compatible with KeePass

  • KeePassXC needs a dedicated client to read the database file. Every platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, etc.) needs its own client. Part of my KeePassXC setup included a USB stick with a portable KeePassXC Windows executable for this reason. Vaultwarden works in the web browser and almost all modern devices (except perhaps the toaster, but you never know) has one installed by default - no USB stick to carry around! There are web-based KeePassXC clients (e.g. KeeWeb) but I'm never going to trust anybody else's hosted instance with the password/key file to my password database. If I have to host my own instance of anything, I might as well host Vaultwarden for reason 1 above.
