Since I'm a bit obsessive, I plugged the thing and tried even with AutoHotInterception which is a kernel level driver. Seems like this keyboard sends the system message directly, so no luck there.
The only other option I could think is firmware... but that depends if your board is TMK or QMK based, however for those you have to do some digging on your own.
