Is there any disadvantage when using c++ instead of c for programming pico?

As per pico c sdk documentation, it also supports c++ and and many libraries are written in c++ (example pimoroni-pico) Is there any disadvantage when using c++ instead of c for programming pico, in terms of performance overhead and memory usage?
