Looks like the community discussion is here: https://community.signalusers.org/t/signal-desktop-on-arm64-aarch64/9001/21 and the tl;dr remains the same as a year ago (no official build, a bunch of hacky ways around it).
So far, the only real way I've ever found to get a working Signal on Pinephone is via the Waydroid emulator and using the Android app. But, Waydroid prevents the Pinephone from suspending if you leave it running, so it's no good for keeping Signal idle at all times awaiting chat messages, unless you plan to keep your phone plugged in to power all day! If Waydroid fixes the problem this will be a real game changer, but the issue on their GitHub remains open: https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/168
