Youtube Vanced! It doesn't require root. Just follow the install directions and you're good to go. It's obviously not going to be able to avoid the in video ads "this video is brought to you by...." but any pre-roll or mid video ads will be stopped. You'll also be able to listen to videos with your screen off without having to pay for Youtube Red.
