An MQTT client written in and for PHP. (by php-mqtt)

For AWS, it seems you need the IoT SDK to connect to the cloud brokers and theres no IoT SDK for PHP, but what would stop me from just using a normal php mqtt client like php-mqtt/client from connection the AWS/Azure IoT MQTT broker? Does it do a secret handshake between the sdk and the cloud?
