Tab Mix Plus was recently updated to work with the newer Firefox code. See https://github.com/onemen/TabMixPlus for details. You do have to do some work to get it working and it might take some time. It is still an XUL extension but with some adjustments to Firefox and an updated extension and it now works again. I too have stuck with Waterfox for the legacy extensions.
