I am trying to build a sam app that uses a cognito user pool. The user pool is defined in my sam template.yaml and is configured to use phone_number as the username alias. Unfortunately, there is a known issue that makes this not possible. Any attempt to configure sms in a cognito user pool in the context of s.a.m will cause the sam deployment to fail. I have reached out to the s.a.m team, but it doesn't sound like this issue is on their roadmap. What are my options here?
