I've actually not heard about kubegres, I'll check it out. Currently I was considering Crunchy Data Postgres Operator and bitnami postgres-ha. Pg_restore on new instances is also my first try. Unfortunately it already seems to take a half hour or more which is not very dynamic. The fdw option I'll check out as well, maybe similar to my option 2
