There are some more radical alternatives though that basically overhaul the whole config form vim/neovim with spacevim and lunarvim (this one is built ontop of neovims LSP features). But both of these bring in a lot of other plugins and essentially take over your whole vim/neovim configuration. Which might not be what you want to go for. But they do give IMO a better out the box experience and more full IDE like features than neovim on its own.
