  • Lakka-LibreELEC

Lakka is a lightweight Linux distribution that transforms a small computer into a full blown game console.

  • It's called Lakka and it seems like a good way to repurpose older or unused machines.

  • scratch-www

    Standalone web client for Scratch

  • You can learn the basics of programming with this cool free software called Scratch. Of course gaming is fun, but imagine one day being able to program your own!

  • Playnite

Video game library manager with support for wide range of 3rd party libraries and game emulation support, providing one unified interface for your games.

  • Also idk if anyone else said it but download Playnite if you're doing emulation stuff. It's a game manager that handles all the metadata for games once you point it to the file. You can even configure emulators with it so games you want to play auto open with the correct emulator. Literally just downloaded it the other day and I'm glad I did.

  • EmuDiscer

A simple tool for automatically lauching emulators when a game disc is inserted. EmuDiscer recognizes which system the game is made for, and lauches the right emulator.

  • Btw, if you're into niche emulator functions, there's a tool to launch the games when you insert a disc.
