The things I've changed or added to the base template I pulled off the project's homepage after a couple minutes of browsing it. There are quite a few fields that are left blank right now, but I like to keep them around until I'm sure I don't need them. Python packages tend to have less in the "hostmakedepends" and "makedepends" fields and more in the "depends" fields since dependency failures are usually encountered at runtime. You'll probably find the manual to be helpful as well.
