  • GNU Emacs

    Mirror of GNU Emacs

  • I miss some of its features. That's why I would like to compile it from source. I know a lot of you guys do this: which is your criteria to chose a branch or tag from which to compile, from the Emacs repo? (https://github.com/emacs-mirror/emacs/tree/master)

  • helpful

    A better Emacs *help* buffer

  • If you are using Helpful, keep your source directory and don't install compressed sources. It just takes time to uncompress them when you request help. I personally don't run make install at all, I just run Emacs from source directory all the time; my systemd service is configured to run from source and all other paths and shortcuts. Worked quite well for me for a couple of years now.

  • InfluxDB
