  What? MacBook trackpads are legit one the best trackpads. I always use mouse with windows/linux laptop and I didn’t even bother to get one for mac. For any apps just install brew and use it to manage apps. A simple google search would solve your problem to make scroll behave to your liking (https://mos.caldis.me) - tool to change scroll behaviour it’s one time setup and forget. I learned all of these only in first month i used macos and all this on m1 macbook air which doesn’t even have proper app support at that time (jan 2021). I don’t even have work experience and I’m still a student. I used arch with gnome, windows and macos and for anything other than gaming i will choose macos or linux in a heartbeat. I guessing u are one of the users who don’t spend time on initially setting up OS to exactly how you like and find problems in middle of work and get irritated.
