On Android your best bet is to rely mostly on DNS filtering. The regular adblocker isn't going to catch a lot of the traffic outside of the browser because most apps don't accept Adguard's certificate. So the traffic just gets bypassed. So turn on DNS filtering and add an Adblock hosts file like one from energized.pro. DNS will filter everything and catch a lot. The adblocker will catch more specific stuff in the browser. Don't put too many filters on that.
