Newpipe is good for mobile and for PC I recently discovered Piped from this other post. So far I'm liking it. Freetube is another another option if you don't mind having to install it.
Unfortunately the Newpipe team refuse to support Sponsorblock being open source, there a fork though
i can recommend youtube-local with VPN for performance and privacy. Also Odysee as many Youtubers already have a channel there.
If you don't care about uploading videos you can watch most YouTube content without using YouTube via invidious if you export your YouTube subscriptions for a RSS feed, you can upload that to an invidious instance to maintain your subscriptions
