Many JS IDEs use TypeScript behind the scenes wherever possible, even if the code you're writing is regular JavaScript. It doesn't look like any TypeScript definitions exist for Earth Engine, though. Weird; at this point I thought every big JS shop was using TypeScript.
It seems like most of the type information is handled server-side, so I'm not sure if that would be feasible. I might be looking in the wrong place, but e.g. this source for ee.List makes no mention of the methods ee.List actually has, and the awkward type errors you get seem to be server-side.
