If you’re using HomeBridge for cameras, ditch it for Scrypted

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on reddit.com/r/homebridge

Our great sponsors
  • Sonar - Write Clean JavaScript Code. Always.
  • Zigi - The context switching struggle is real
  • InfluxDB - Build time-series-based applications quickly and at scale.
  • Scout APM - Truly a developer’s best friend
  • scrypted

Scrypted is a high performance home video integration and automation platform for HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, and more.

    Follow directions here: https://github.com/koush/scrypted/wiki/Local-Installation

  • docker-wyze-bridge

RTMP/RTSP/LL-HLS bridge for Wyze cams in a docker container

    You’ll need Wyze Bridge.

  • Sonar

Write Clean JavaScript Code. Always.. Sonar helps you commit clean code every time. With over 300 unique rules to find JavaScript bugs, code smells & vulnerabilities, Sonar finds the issues while you focus on the work.

  • ring

Unofficial packages for Ring Doorbells, Cameras, Alarm System, and Smart Lighting (by dgreif)

If you're sticking to HomeBridge, then Homebridge-ring is pretty much the de facto Ring integration for HomeBridge.

  • ring-mqtt-ha-addon

Home Assistant addon to integrate Ring alarm and camera devices via MQTT

If you happen to also be using Home Assistant then the Ring-MQTT HA Add-on is nice but I haven't pushed it back from Home Assistant into HomeKit. I'm only using that for dashboard display right now.
