It how most censorship works on reddit. Decent mods would at least let you know they removed your post, if only by sending an automated message. However many don't want you to know your submission was censored, so they just silently remove stuff. It's also reddits fault as well, they could code it into the site that it's always visible when a post got removed, but they don't want us to know. You can use this site to view some of the removed content, just put in any sub or user name. Also check out your own one, you may be surprised by how many of your comments were removed without you knowing about it.
