click start hosting then drop in the website's code, once you do that there are three buttons on the bottom, the first i don't know what it does yet, the second just saves it so when you open onion share again it will be open, The third one disables private key when i made this it was required for med to use it or it wouldn't work, also advanced is a thing it is for if you want your website only up for a certain amount of time. once you add all the files click start sharing and it will give you your own onion website. template from dasgeek https://github.com/dasgeekchannel/onionwebsitetemplate
once you open onion share you might need to have tor open if you don't have tor you can install it from https://www.torproject.org/ if you want to be difficult you can change the settings, you should change it to the built in version of tor because it will auto connect and you wont need to open tor. also if you hate light mode you can change to dark mode in the settings tab (at the bottom right of it)
you have to go to https://onionshare.org/ then select the one you use. if you chose windows/macOS double click the msi or is on Mac then the dmg file and follow the instructions, with Linux you should follow the instructions https://docs.onionshare.org/2.4/en/install.html#install-in-linux
